But, no matter, because now I've knitted six, which means that I only have two more to go! I started my mom's handwarmers, by my very own pattern. I'll post it here when I'm done with the second one. So after two dishcloths and a handwarmer, all I have left to do is knit Ed a hat. I decided that even though he doesn't really wear scarves or something, a hat would be a good gesture.

Oh, and I have to weave in the ends, on like, everything! Literally, one dishcloth is officially completed, and everything else still has their ends exposed. That's two hats, a cowl, five dishcloths, and a hand warmer. I think I'll leave that until I'm done everything, because then it's like the home stretch!

The yarn for mom's hand warmers is a mystery yarn. As in, I knew what type it was and everything, but then the tag seemed to escape me. If I see the brand name, I'm sure to remember. It's this really great wool/mohair/silk blend, and I really want more.

Pattern up in a few days! There's just one thing that I would have done differently, but I'll save that for the next time I make this, as I've already halfway finished it.

I'll be writing to you another time... If there's even anyone there.

What do I want to do when I grow up?

Lately, I've been under the impression that the only thing that I'm good at is my knitting. Myself, I am a hard working junior who will be seventeen in just two weeks. I get okay grades, typically B+ to As, and I'm well involved in school. I'm a bit of theatre geek, I do school dance, and I'm a part of many clubs. College is looming around the corner, and needless to say, I'm terrified. I feel like everyone should know by know what they aspire to be when they're older, but if you ask me, you're only going to get the vaguest of a description: something to do with English. I don't know what I want to be, and often I don't even feel like I'm adequate in writing. But, I love to knit. If only that could be my career.
Then, I got the idea to make this blog. I just thought that maybe, if I can combine the two, writing and knitting, I won't feel so bad about not knowing what I want to do with my life. And maybe, it'll help me decide.

Right now I'm working overtime on the holiday knitting. On my needles, I have a paw print dishcloth, which is a part of a set of dishcloths for my grandma. My mom is getting some too.
So far, I have knit:

A hat, for my grandma

a cowl, for my mom

another hat, for my dad

three dishcloths

I hope to knit four more dishcloths after I finish this one. Hand warmers for my mom are currently on needles. I'm thinking a couple ornaments for stocking stuffers, and I need to knit something for Ed, my mom's boyfriend. And maybe, if I get around to it, I'll knit up a stuffed animal for my cousin.

The best wishes to you, and for me! I'm not usually very good at keeping up with things, mind you.
